Located in Maharashtra near the Pune district, the Visapur Fort trek is one of the best treks to do in Monsoon. The Visapur Trek takes around 2.5-3 hours to reach the point, and one will enjoy the trek as with knowing the history of this place as it is a guided trek. It is not a difficult trek, everyone can enjoy the Visapur fort trek in monsoons as there is water gushing through the steps while you trek. How to reach?
The starting point of the trek is Bhaje village and one can easily reach the base village with the help of private, public, and local transportation.

Taking Around 2 to 3 hours to get complete, the Visapur fort trek is comparatively very safe than other treks in the region. A maximum altitude of 3556 feet is reached during the trek in which you are required to pass through various rocky and forest trails. These tricky terrains require you to have a moderate level of fitness to make crossing them safe for you. In addition to this, you will be accompanied by experienced guides who will further help you in passing the difficult areas.
A total of five to six hours will be required to complete the whole trek to Visapur Fort. Along your way to the fort, you are required to cover a boulder laden tricky route, which requires proper training and guidance to cover. To reach the peak, you will be required to cover around 4 to 5 KM for a duration of around 3 hours to finally reach the elevation of 3556 ft above sea level. Along the trail, you will find various small sheds and resting spots, where you can take a halt for some time.
Visapur Fort is located at a distance of just 14.9 KM from Lonavala, therefore covering this amount of distance is comparatively easy. One can easily take Bhangarwadi Road to reach Patan Village, which is the base camp of the trek to the fort. From here, you can begin the trek for around 3 hours to finally reach the fort.
Visapur fort trek is considered to be moderately difficult and anyone having a little knowledge of this adventure can go for it. The whole session of trekking lasts for upto 6 hours, considering both ascend and descend, which can be easily covered by almost everyone. In addition to this, the route to the top of the hill is further loaded with various checkpoints in the form of small shacks for making a stop, therefore you can choose to complete the whole trek in laps while stopping from time to time.

The Visapur Fort is located at a height of 1084 metres above the sea level and to reach the top, one is required to trek for around 2.5 to 3 hours. In addition to this, due to the higher elevation, the whole area is covered with greenery and viewpoints, which further enhances the whole experience of trekking.
The route to the Visapur Fort begins from its base village, which is the Patan Village. From here, one is required to trek for 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the top of the fort. On the way, you also get to cross a waterfall and various checkpoints, where you can make a stop and rest for a while. In addition to this, there are two more routes which can be taken to reach the top, one of which goes through the Bhaje Caves and the other goes through Gaimukh Khind.

One can easily find local buses and taxis which run between Mumbai and the base village of the Visapur fort from the bus stations. In addition to this, one can also book railway tickets to Malavali Station and can cover the remaining distance by roads.
