Nestled with the beauty of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba peaks, the Chopta Chandrashila Trek at an altitude of 12,083 ft., gives you mesmerizing views of nature's bounty. A visit to the holy Tugnath temple, famous for being the highest Shiva temple in the world offers you a vantage point in the trek.
During the trek, you can also get a view and experience the divine aura of the pilgrim hotspots - Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag. The trek journey also takes you through Haridwar, Sari, and Chopta, surrounded by the beauty of bountiful forests, rhododendron bushes. About the trekking experience:
- Starting from Haridwar, the journey will take you through the famous Har ki Pauri, Chopta, and Sari along with the numerous tiny hamlets as you ascend to the top. You will also halt at the pilgrim cities- Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag.
- Behold the mesmerizing views of hued meadows and pastures as you approach the pristine Deoria Tal Lake.
- As you ascend to the top, enjoy the summit views of Chandrashila, Trishul, and Nanda Devi - which is India's second-highest peak.
- The entire distance of around 30 KM, will take you through the world's highest Shiva temple - Tugntah temple.
