"Bugyal” means meadow in the regional language, which means land covered with wildflowers. It offers 270-degree views of the mesmerizing snow-clad mountains and valleys holding the blanket of nature.

Dehradun is well connected to most cities such as Delhi, Shimla, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, and Mussoorie by Volvo, Deluxe, semi-deluxe, and Uttarakhand State Transport buses. These buses arrive and depart from the Dehradun Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) near Clement Town. Buses depart from here every 15 minutes to one hour.
Another bus terminal in Dehradun is the Mussoorie Bus Station, located at the Dehradun Railway Station which has regular bus services to Mussoorie and other nearby cities. Another interstate bus terminal in Dehradun is the Delhi Bus Stand on Gandhi Road.

The best time to go for the Dayara Bugyal Trek is between the months of March to Mid-May and from November to January. Since the months after March bring summers with them, people are attracted to the cozy climate of this destination. The duration between November to January experiences winters, thus people are drawn towards the snowfall.
From Dehradun, you can drive up to Raithal while crossing Uttarkashi. From here, the real trekking begins, in which the first day can be spent trekking from Raithal to Gui for around 5 KM and the second day can be spent trekking from Gui to DayaraBugyal for the next 3.5 KM.

The main point being, the unavailability of kid-friendly food, clothing, medicines in the remote hillside. Keep in mind the low temperature and be prepared to carry adequate warm clothing if you take your child along to Dayra Bugyal trek.
