You can reach Dehradun by Air/ Railways and Road. The nearest railway station is the Dehradun junction, which is well connected to major cities in northern India, primarily New Delhi. Jolly Grant Airport serves Dehradun domestically, with regular flights coming in from many major cities in India. Regular bus services also prevail to and fro Dehradun through an excellent roadways network.
The best time to visit Rishikesh is between September and November. You can also visit the place during early March and April. But, avoid visiting Rishikesh in May or June as the temperature is very hot during that time.
In general, you can go for a 6-7 day trip to cover most of the places in Haridwar Rishikesh and Dehradun. Yet, you can go for a quick 3-4 days trip.
