The Meesapulimala trek begins when you get picked up from Bangalore and then you proceed towards Munnar which takes you through some picturesque views of the entire valley. Enjoy a jeep ride to the silent valley from where you would trek towards the famous Rhodo valley of Meesapulimala.

The best time for Meesapulimala Trek and camping is all through the year as the climate is usually pleasant. Summer months from March to June are the peak season for Meesapulimala trek booking as the cold climate and the blue skies make one’s trek straightforward and hassle-free.
During the monsoon season from June to September, Munnar receives a good amount of rainfall. However, the absence of maddening tourist crowds and the surreal beauty to the valleys covered with lush foliage, and the misty clouds engulfing the peak make the trek to Meesapulimala peak worth the adventure.
While winters do get colder, it is never spine chilling and so hence, one can comfortably go on the Meesapulimala trek during the winter months from November to February. To witness the beauty of the Neelakurinji flowers painting the valleys and slopes of the Western Ghats in bright blue color, plan your trip between July and November.
The height of Meesapulimala is around 2640 meters above sea level and it will take around 3 days to complete the whole trek. Having such elevation, the peak makes sure that you catch glimpses of some of the most scenic low-lying valleys.
The Meesapulimala trek is spread across 2 nights and 3 days.
Starting from the Forest department in Munnar early in the morning, a comfortable jeep ride will take you to the Silent Valley. Then, you will be trekking towards the Rhodo Valley on two lapses (2 km and 4 km) through 6 hills and dense jungles.
En route the trek, you can many watch Rhododendron flowers. Till the waterfall Lagoon, the trail only ascends, after which it keeps going up and down.
The distance between Meesapulimala and Bangalore is around 483.6 KM which can be easily covered within 8 to 9 hours by taking the roads. The said distance can also be covered by reaching Kerala via air and covering the remaining distance by a bus or by taking a local cab service.
