How to reach Joshimath:

By Rail:

The nearest railway station to Joshimath is Rishikesh railway station at a distance of 250 km on NH58. Rishikesh is well connected by railway networks with major destinations of India and trains to Rishikesh are frequent. Joshimath is well connected by motorable roads with Rishikesh.

By Air:

How to reach Joshimath by Flight. Jolly Grant airport near Dehradun (25 km east of the city) is the nearest airport. It is 273 km away from Joshimath. In fact, this airport is closer to Rishikesh (approx. 16 km) and takes roughly 20-30 minutes to reach Rishikesh.

By Road:

You can get to Joshimath from Haridwar or Rishikesh by bus or by hiring a taxi. The drive is very scenic and runs along the Ganga and its tributaries. The buses are mostly private-run and generally in poor to average condition. The buses leave from Haridwar/Dehradun/Rishikesh in the morning starting at 4:30 am.

1. Accommodation – You will be staying in tents/guest houses for the Satopanth trek.

2. Meals – (Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner). We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek.

3. Camping charges – All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included.

4. Trekking equipment – High-quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. Sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -10 ºC.

5. Safety equipment – First aid kit, oxygen cylinders, oximeter, etc. will be with guide/trek leader and at the campsite as well to deal with emergencies.

6. Expert trek Leaders – All our trek leaders are at least qualified in basic/advanced mountaineering and first aid course.
