About the Pindari Glacier Trek:

Zero Point of Pindari Glacier is situated at a breathtaking altitude of 12370 ft above sea level, 5km ahead of Phurkia. The Pindari Glacier, in the Bageshwar district, falls in the Kumaon Himalayas. The glacier flows to the south for a short distance of about 9 KM and gives rise to the Pindari River which meets river Alakananda at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district.

The views from the pass of the Dhakri Khal are particularly impressive and include the many snow-capped peaks that form the southern rim of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. By Air-

The nearest airport to Kathgodam is the Pantnagar Airport located at a distance of 32kms from Kathgodam. The airport is connected with Delhi by 4 round flights per week. Taxis are easily available from the Airport to Kathgodam.

By Rail-

As a means of transport, 3 trains are available from New Delhi to Kathgodam in North India. The journey includes travel through the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and more. The sky will remain clear for a few days. During the day, the people of Kathgodam experience a temperature of 20°C which can drop to 15°C at night. The fourth day of trekking is spent covering a 5 KM long trail to Phurkia. The fifth day is the one when most of the trekking is done and you are required to cover 17 KM to finally reach the Pindari Glacier in the Pindari Valley.
