  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Parang La trek.

About the Parang La Trek:

Parang La trek takes you through the verdant beauty of Spiti Valley. Here is a nine-day long adventure expedition to Parang La from Kaza, the beautiful starting point which is really suitable for a perfect commencement of such an expedition. In the first lap of the trek, Kibber at an altitude of 14000 feet and centuries old Ki monastery will be the ideal place to explore and after crossing many narrow river gorges you will reach Dumla. The quite tough and demanding phase of the trek comes when you move from Thaltak Meadow to Jagtha and from there to Bomgrojen.

The fourth day of the trek sees the main stretches of this exciting adventure when you prepare to climb the summit up. From the top, you may find the impressive beauty of Spiti Valley highly influential on your self. From the top, with the glimpses of the verdant valley, walk down to the famous Pare Chu River and from there, you will move enthusiastically toward Dak Karzong. As you continue the trek, you will come to conquer the flat paths reaching up to Racholamo Valley and from then onward, there will be easy downhill ways to reach Norbu Sumdo. You will get to cross a river beyond Norbu Sumdo to reach Chumik Shilde.

Tso Moriri Lake and a walk across the banks of it would be the most extravagant highlight of this trek.
