With fresh sproutings and sudden rainfalls, this season makes sure that you are provided with the greenest scenery, however you must remain cautious as the path to the fort becomes kind of slippery and tricky.
If you want to enjoy even more pleasant climatic conditions without the fear of sudden showers then you should go for Rajgad Trek during the winter months which fall around October to February.
The cool breeze and the pleasurable environment together make it a perfect time to enjoy a trek without the scorching heat of the sun.
On your Rajgad Fort trek, you should carry the following to make your trek more comfortable:
- ID Proof: Always carry your valid government authorized id proof along with you
- Water: You should carry plenty of water or energy drinks to keep yourself hydrated all the time
- Other things: You should carry cap, towel, a napkin, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion to protect yourself from dust and sunburn
- Trekking Shoes and extra pair of Socks: You should wear a good pair of shoes so that you can cross the difficult trails easily. And, you might need an additional pair of socks during the trek.
- Camera: To capture awesome pictures of your trek
- Backpack: Put your things in a backpack so your hands are free while trekking.
As the difficulty level of the Rajgad trek is moderate, hence not a lot of gear is required, but some of the basic things you should keep in your mind:
- Be mentally prepared as the height of the trek is 4250 feet from the sea level.
- If you find any symptoms of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), inform your trek leader as they will be fully-equipped for such situations.
- Do not rush to reach the destination, just give yourself time to enjoy the view
- We understand you are enthusiastic and want to see everything possible in your path but it is advised to not leave your travel group and guides.
- We would highly recommend to not to drink and smoke during the trek
- Carry all the essential items including comfortable clothes, shoes, jackets, medical kit, drinking water, light snacks, extra pair of socks etc
