Savandurga night trek is a very different experience altogether. There are very few night treks available in India and this is one of them. The path takes you 4,022ft above sea level. On the journey, you will get to trek two different hills that are known as Karigudda' or the 'black hill' and 'Biligudda' or the 'white hill’.

-By air: There are airplanes from all major cities connecting to Bangalore so you can take any flight. From here you can take a bus or hire a car to Savandurga.
-By train: There is no railway station in Savandurga but there is a train available up to Magadi, which is just at a distance of about 12 km. The time taken from this small town to reach Savandurga is about 20-30 minutes.
-By Bus: You can avail of a bus from Bangalore or any of the nearby towns to reach the destination too.
The maximum altitude of Savandurga is about 4,022ft. The trek to the top of the mountains is an amazing journey and there are a lot of people who also opt for night trek to Savandurga. The altitude is about 1226 meters.
If you are thinking of taking a Savandurga trek at night then you should definitely be carrying some double-layered clothing and make sure that you are covered from head to toe. This is suggested because during the evening hours visibility is poor.
Also, most tour agents advise that you opt for double-layered socks and tuck in your pants. This is done to prevent the risks of leeches. You can carry your camera, nighttime goggles or vision equipment (if you have one), and other trekking gear like your shoes, raincoat, etc.
