About the Kanamo Peak:
The Kanamo Peak looms behind Kibber and Tashi Gang villages, hidden away at the heart of Spiti. The Kanamo Peak Trekisfabulous and probably the best way for one to experience a climb to 6000m in India. Kanamo means ‘White Lady’. This peak can be approached and does not require any mountaineering skills and can be climbed properly if one is acclimatized. It is a fascinating trek with a different quality of Himalaya’s i.e. barren mountain desert with sparse vegetation with a touch of snow. Once you reach the summit you will get a 360-degree view of the whole region which is very fascinating. From the summit you can get the views of faraway Kullu, Kinnaur and Ladakh.
