About Chalal Trek:
Commencing from Kasol, this three-day trek covers all major tourist spots in Kasol, Chalal and Tosh. The Chalal trek trail first heads over to the village of Chalal, and then makes its way to Tosh from there. A two-hour walk from Kasol will bring you to trek, where you will be met with the happening hippie culture of the place.
The first day will be spent touring Chalal. The next morning, trekkers will head on over to Tosh, which is located at a height of about 7,800 feet.
The picturesque uphill trek, travelling across lush fields and by awe-inspiring waterfalls, promises some of the most beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. The night is spent camping in the wilderness of Tosh. The next morning, trekkers can enjoy a stunning sunset from the peaks of Tosh and then begin a downhill journey to Kasol again.
Chalal is approximately 3.4 kilometres away from Kasol. However, with its long winding routes covering various scenic spots in Kasol, the Chalal trekking route takes about 2 hours to cover.
The Chalal trek will commence from Kasol, and move towards Chalal on foot. It will take about 2 hours to walk between the two places. And there are well-connected road and air routes to reach Kasol from other cities in India.
The trek is 3 days and 2 nights long. The Chalal trekking route will travel from Kasol to Chalal, onward to Tosh, and then back to Kasol.
The Chalal trek has a grading of easy on the challenge level, and can be attempted by beginners and experts alike.
Yes, beginners can easily attempt the Chalal trek without any qualms. The route is fairly easy and can be navigated without too much of a difficulty. However, it is obviously important to make sure that your health is at its prime, and that you have a minimum level of physical fitness before embarking on any kind of trek.
The Chalal trek package will include breakfast and dinner for all 3 days and 2 nights. Meanwhile. lunch can be availed by the trekkers at the various cafes or eateries that will fall on the way as they make their way to Chalal.
