Bhutan Tour faqs

What is the best time to go for the Bhutan Bike Expedition?

The planned batch dates fall within the cooler, drier months of October through April, which is when the expedition is most enjoyable. These months are perfect for biking and sightseeing because of the pleasant weather, clear skies, and breathtaking mountain views.

Does this trip require a special visa or permit to enter Bhutan?

Yes, at the border entry (Phuentsholing), all Indian nationals must present a valid government ID and go through an immigration process. The tour organisers arrange for the necessary permits for travel within Bhutan.

Can I bring my own bike on this adventure?

It is possible for participants to bring their own bicycles. Fuel costs for personal bikes, however, are not covered by the package and are the rider's responsibility.

What kind of accommodation and food can I expect on the trip?

Standard hotels offer accommodations on a double or triple sharing basis. From Day 1 dinner to Day 7 breakfast, breakfast and dinner are included, and a variety of Indian and local dishes are served.

What type of bikes are provided for the expedition?

For rented packages, Royal Enfield Himalayan 410cc bikes are provided along with helmets. These bikes are well-suited for Bhutan's mountain roads and offer stability, comfort, and performance for long-distance riding.

What are the must-visit places on a Bhutan tour?

Famous locations like Paro (the location of Tiger's Nest Monastery), Thimphu (the capital city with cultural landmarks like the Buddha Dordenma), Punakha Dzong, and Phobjikha Valley are usually included in a Bhutan tour. Every location provides a different perspective on Bhutan's spiritual legacy, rich culture, and stunning natural surroundings.

Is Bhutan a good destination for a honeymoon trip?

Indeed, Bhutan is a great place to go on a honeymoon. Bhutan provides the ideal balance of adventure and peace with its tranquil monasteries, picturesque valleys, romantic hikes like the Tiger's Nest, and comfortable stays in traditional resorts. A memorable romantic retreat, many Bhutan honeymoon packages also include private sightseeing and cultural activities.

What should I consider when choosing Bhutan packages from different Indian cities?

When booking a Bhutan tour, your departure city can impact travel time, convenience, and cost. Here's what to keep in mind:

Bhutan packages from Pune: Usually include connecting flights to Bagdogra or Kolkata, followed by a road transfer to Phuentsholing — ideal for travelers wanting a full-service itinerary.

Bhutan trip packages from Ahmedabad: Popular among West India travelers, these often offer both budget and luxury options with flights and seamless entry arrangements.

Bhutan travel packages from Guwahati: Perfect for quick getaways, as Guwahati is geographically close to Bhutan, allowing road access via Samdrup Jongkhar or Phuentsholing.

Bhutan holiday package from Chennai: Often includes flight + transfer combinations and is popular for long-duration trips like honeymoon or spiritual travel.

Bhutan trip from Bangalore: These are well-curated for both leisure and adventure seekers, often bundled with flight connections and private tours.

What’s the difference between a Bhutan 3 day tour and a 10 day Bhutan itinerary?

For visitors with little time, a 3-day tour of Bhutan is perfect it usually includes stops at Paro, the Tiger's Nest Monastery, and Thimphu. It provides a brief but insightful look into the natural beauty and culture of Bhutan.

A 10-day itinerary for Bhutan, however, enables a more comprehensive experience. Along with Paro and Thimphu, it also covers places like Punakha, Phobjikha Valley, Bumthang, and more. For tourists who wish to thoroughly experience Bhutan's landscapes, monasteries, festivals, and local culture, this is the ideal destination.

Are there combined Sikkim Bhutan packages available for travelers?

Indeed, Thrillophilia provide Sikkim Bhutan packages that combine the best features of both areas into one schedule. These packages usually include visits to well-known locations in Sikkim, such as Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake, and Nathula Pass, followed by famous locations in Bhutan, such as Thimphu, Paro, and Punakha. With transportation, permits, lodging, and guided tours all included, visitors can have a smooth trip, which is perfect for individuals who wish to see the Eastern Himalayas in a single trip.
