Reach at the top of the peak i.e. trekking for 9 km and enjoy the picturesque views of the entire Kozhikode district from above.

How to reach Chembra?
Chembra is based near the town of Meppady and is 8 km south of Kalpetta. There are various bus services, that would be useful to reach Chembra. You can ascend down at Kalpetta and then proceed towards Chembra.
The best to visit the Chembra Peak trek is in between the month of September to March. As before and after this season the monsoon starts which makes the trek full of waters and season waterfalls which makes the trek dangerous.
During these months the forest remains lush green and full of greenery all around with a beautiful view of the mountains that's why it is considered as the best time to make a visit to this place.
One can easily get to Chembra Peak from Wayanad as the Chembra peak is connected to Wayanad through roadways as well the railways which makes it reachable.
Railways: The nearest railway station to Chembra peak is Kozhikode railway station which is 79 kilometers away from the Chembra peak. You can take a local bus or any transport to reach the trek point which will take around 40 minutes of duration to make you reach.
Roadways: You can also get to Chembra Peak from Wayanad by taking a bus from the Wayanad bus stand which will take you to Chembra Peak in 1 hour 30 minutes probably.
The Chembra Peak Trek is a 9 kilometers long trek right from the starting point of the trek to the lake which is the endpoint of the trek. It takes around 4-5 hours to climb and summit the trek after the long trek in the valley.
The trek looks short in terms of the distance but it includes various challenges that are driven by nature itself like steeply treks and muddy surface which makes it a bit hard and challenging to climb it.
