How To Reach Khangchendzonga National Park

By Road: Yuksom is about 10–12 km from Khangchendzonga National Park. In about 30 to 45 minutes, visitors can take a private taxi to get to their destination.

Best Time To Visit Khangchendzonga National Park

Peak Season (April to June)

Weather: The weather is cool and clear, perfect for trekking and sightseeing. Days are pleasant, and nights can be chilly.

Things to Do: Trekking on untouched trails, wildlife spotting, and marvelling at views of Mt Khangchendzonga and the surrounding landscapes.

Moderate Season (July to September)

Weather: Heavy rainfall makes trails slippery, and some areas may be inaccessible. The forest becomes lush and vibrant.

Low season (October to March)

Weather: Snowfall at higher elevations and cold temperatures. Snow may force the closure of some trekking routes.

• The national park is a protected area. Thus, visitors must follow the rules and regulations to preserve the park's beauty at all times. 
• Certain areas of the national park require a permit, especially if trekking. Therefore, it is best to arrange these permits in advance. 
• Visitors must keep a safe distance from the fauna present at the national park and must make sure not to disturb them.
• Only basic amenities are present inside the park. Therefore, it is recommended for the visitors to bring plenty of water and snacks with them while visiting.
